Treenu

Privacy policy

Effective October 8, 2026.

1. Who we are

Treenu is an allergy education and community service at treenu.com, operated by Treenu, LLC, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@treenu.com.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use information

We use information to create and authenticate accounts, personalize learning, display and save content, deliver messages and invitations, apply your sharing choices, support professional reviews, maintain service security and respond to support requests. Transactional emails may include verification, password reset, nest invitations and article follow-ups associated with learning activities.

4. Sharing and visibility

Your display name appears with posts, comments and messages. Posts and people’s care plans are shown according to the selected nest audience and accepted connections. Messages are available to participants. Public article reviews may show the reviewer’s name, professional role and review note. Your optional bio currently appears only in your own profile view.

People who can see information may copy or share it independently. Changing an audience or removing content cannot retract copies already made. Service administrators and providers may need access to operate, secure or support the service. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

GoDaddy provides hosting, and email delivery infrastructure processes relevant message content and recipient addresses. For text invitations, Treenu prepares an invitation link and message; your device’s messaging app and carrier send the text only when you choose to send it. Invitation links expire after seven days and may be accepted once. Google processes sign-in when you use that option. Google Fonts and Unsplash serve fonts and images; loading those resources communicates technical request information to those services. GoDaddy also injects traffic/performance monitoring into the current live website.

We do not sell personal information or use member data for targeted advertising or AI model training. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to address abuse and protect rights, subject to applicable law.

5. Cookies and third-party services

Treenu uses a session cookie to keep you signed in and protect account operations. Google sign-in and hosting services may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices. Blocking cookies may prevent sign-in or other features from working.

6. Retention and security

Account and activity records remain in the application until removed through available controls or an operator-managed process. The application keeps up to 14 daily database snapshots; hosting providers may maintain separate backups. We retain account information while an account is active. We handle verified account deletion requests within 30 days, subject to information we must retain for legal obligations or security investigations. Backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle. Provider backup and technical-log retention follows the relevant provider’s retention practices.

The application uses HTTPS, password hashing, authenticated sessions and server-side sharing checks. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee that all information will always remain secure.

7. Your choices and requests

You can edit your profile and allergy interests, manage connections and sharing, remove supported content and sign out. You may revoke Google access in your Google Account settings; revocation does not itself delete your Treenu account or content. Establish another sign-in method before revoking access if needed.

For account deletion, access, correction or export requests, contact info@treenu.com. We may verify your identity before responding. We handle verified deletion requests within 30 days. Other access, correction or export requests are reviewed by Treenu’s operator. Depending on applicable law, you may have additional privacy rights.

8. Children and caregiver information

Treenu accounts are for adults aged 18 or older. Children may not create or use their own accounts. Adults may enter information about a child or dependant only when authorized to do so. A parent, guardian or authorized caregiver is responsible for ensuring they have permission to provide this information. If you believe an underage person has an account, contact info@treenu.com so we can review and address it.

9. International processing

Treenu is operated from the United States. Hosting, identity, email and content providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate. Their privacy protections and applicable laws may differ from those in your location.

10. Changes and contact

We will update this policy when our practices change and identify the effective date. Material changes involving new uses of Google data will require appropriate notice and consent. Contact info@treenu.com with questions.
